The Rustenburg Girls’ High School U19A Water Polo Team enjoyed a highly successful weekend at the Somerset College Stayers Tournament on 25–26 October 2025. After a narrow 3–5 loss to Springfield in their opening match, the team, guided by new coach Rachel King, regrouped impressively to deliver a string of strong performances. Day 1 was highlighted by an emphatic 11–1 victory over Rhenish, while Day 2 saw Rustenburg maintain their momentum with key wins against Herschel and St Cyprian’s — the latter a thrilling 7–6 semi-final triumph.

In a fitting finale, Rustenburg faced Springfield once again and turned the tables with a commanding 11–5 win to claim the gold medal. Congratulations to the entire team on this outstanding achievement and to Jade Jarvis, who was named Defender of the Tournament.
