Quality golf and plenty of smiles at Waterfall Schools’ fundraiser. On Friday, 25 August 2023, Waterfall Schools’ Parent Action Group (PAG) held its inaugural Golf Day on the breathtaking Cotswold Downs Golf Estate. The day was packed with fantastic energy and the warm weather made for a great golfing experience, with much-needed funds raised for the upgrade of the school’s hall. “We would like to thank all 120 golfers who came to support our fundraiser,” says Hayley Dennyson, Waterfall Schools Marketing and Communications Manager. “The day would not have been possible without
you!”

Congratulations to Steve Johnstone, Shaun Pollock, Rish Seynisch and Steve McNabb for coming out on top of the four-balls, as well as Mark Cox for shooting the lowest gross score. In acknowledgement of this achievement, Mark won a week’s stay at Umnulu Tented Camp in Limpopo for 10 people. Waterfall Schools’ PAG member and co-organiser of the event, Allan Van Ryn, described the Golf Day as one that “was aimed at both the aspiring and better golfers who want to test their skills on South Africa’s best-rated greens golf course.

Our shotgun start and standard rules on the day meant players’ scores could count towards their handicaps. We also had our top prize for the lowest gross score, which was highly appreciated by the low handicap players. We would like to build on this foundation for future golf days,” Allan said. A big thank you to artist Vanessa Lomas for her generous donation of an exquisite painting, which was auctioned on the night, and to Clynt Levin for donating a Helicopter Flip for four people.
