Congratulations to a trio of Merrifield musicians and their teachers for their outstanding performances and results at the Port Rex Lions East London Music Eisteddfod Showcase this evening.

Surfing
Merrifield Matric students Daniel Emslie and Adriel Wolmarans are representing South Africa at the ISA World Junior Surfing Championships in El Salvador as part of the South African Junior Team. The annual event will get underway with the Parade of Nations and Sands of the World Ceremony on Saturday 27 May and end with the Final rounds on Sunday 5 June.
2019 ISA World Junior Championships semi- finalist Daniel Emslie has been appointed team captain and he will be the flag bearer during the Sands of the World ceremony. The pair are pictured here with Merrifield surfing coach Greg Emslie.

Squash
Merrifield Grade 7 student Brooklyn Cumming has been selected to represent the Border girls U13 squash side to play in the IPT tournament in June.
Netball
Congratulations to Merrifield College Grade 11 student Teneal Grundlingh on her selection to the U17A East Cape Netball team.
