On Saturday our Kingswood Girls’ played multiple fixtures against DSG, Pearson High School and Collegiate. Kingswood College hosted the Junior teams while DSG hosted the Senior teams. Our U15 Girls’ continued their same success as their previous year, winning all three games:
- vs DSG 3rds 15-1
- vs Pearson U15 15-0
- vs DSG U15A 5-3
The highlight of the day was our U14 Girls’. With their journey at Kingwood only starting this past week, they managed to put together a team after just two training sessions. These challenges aside, they managed to win both their games:
- vs Pearson U14A 8-3
- vs DSG U15B 7-2

Growth in our Senior age groups saw our 2nd team coach faced with a challenge of selecting a team with just one training session in hand, despite this, they managed to pull off a remarkable performance; winning one, losing one and drawing one:
vs Pearson 8-1
vs DSG U16 3-8
vs DSG 2nd 4-4
Our 1st team Girls’ started their session earlier than usual. The team attended a gruelling training camp in East London from the 9 – 12 January and returned to Kingswood to continue working on the foundation they had built during the camp. The team’s hard work and effort paid off as they won all three of the games:
vs Glenwood House 9-2
vs DSG 7-3
vs Collegiate 4-1
Our 1st team Girls’ hope to carry these positive performances into the annual Brian Baker Water Polo Tournament taking place on Thursday 26 January to Sunday 29 January. This promises to be an exciting few days for our Girls.
While the Girls’ had fixtures this past weekend, our Kingswood Boys were put through their paces by 1st team coach Mr Bridger. Their training camp started on Wednesday afternoon, and continued until Sunday with multiple morning swims and afternoon leg sessions, as they work towards a successful season.
