Matric Class of 2022 Valedictory Ceremony – guest speaker, Dr Ansuya Naido.Dr Ansuya Naidoo matriculated from Holy Family College in 1997. She was born and raised in Chatsworth and went on to study Medicine at the University of Cape Town. Following her work in state hospitals in Durban and Cape Town, she went on to do an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) at the University of Cambridge in the UK. She then worked in the UK in the field of drug development, and went on to specialise in Pharmaceutical Medicine, through the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians. After living and working in the UK for 10 years, she returned home to Durban.

She is currently Medical Director in South Africa, for the International Aids Vaccine Initiative, an International NGO based in New York, that works to translate scientific discoveries into affordable, globally accessible public health solutions. She is currently leading clinical trials working on an early experimental HIV vaccine. Her passion is health equity- enabling access to medicines and healthcare for those who need it most. She currently lives in Durban, and is married to Nolan, and has two young children, James and Naomi.
