South African Mathematics Challenge  Grade 4 – 7. The Challenge questions are aimed at conceptual knowledge, the application of knowledge in new situations, problem solving, reasoning, communication and general mathematical thinking. Approximately 432 learners from all over the country qualified for the third and final round. Helio Chen (gr 7) and Orion Chen (gr 5) qualified for the final round of this prestigious competition. Based on the Third Round results, National prizes were awarded. Grey College Primary received the award for the Top performing school in the Free State.
