Graeme College Gr 11’s Exploring the kingdom Plantae: Over the past few weeks, the Grade 11 Life Science classes have been learning about the characteristics of the various divisions of plants. They have had the opportunity to observe specimens showing the typical characteristics of these different divisions. Given the importance of plants in every aspect of our lives, we study plants to understand processes that are critical to our own survival and to the health of the planet. Beyond their obvious importance, plants have played key roles in a broad range of biological discoveries that have helped us understand some of the most fascinating mysteries of life!
