“Glenashley Prep proudly hosted a contingent of important guests this week, who chatted to our learners about cyber bullying and the dangers of social media, racism and safety when travelling and on the road. The school welcomed Reverend Booth, Sgt Shozi and a delegation from SAPS Durban North, Captain Moodley and Inspector Stallon from Durban Metro Police, Cate from the North Durban Victim Support Team, Darryl from the Community Policing Forum, paramedics and an ambulance from IPSS Medical Rescue and Joelene Ranjit from Busamed Gateway Private Hospital. The important messages were delivered in an engaging manner, and even though the topics were serious ones, there was still room for laughter and singing with Durban Metro, and some spot prizes! The learners received a little treat from SAPS at the end of the presentation and the School thanked the community role-players for their support.”
