Felixton College’s Roots Pre-primary was full of creativity as our learners brought their adorable Caterpillar Pastries to life. From stretching and rolling pastry to carefully wrapping, adding tiny eyes, every step was filled with concentration, imagination and plenty of excitement.
What may look like simple baking is actually packed with learning, developing fine motor control, hand-eye co-ordination, sequencing skills, creativity and independence. There was such a beautiful sense of pride as each caterpillar went into the oven… and even bigger smiles when they came out and were ready to enjoy! Moments like these remind us how powerful hands-on learning can be. At Roots, we don’t just bake, we build confidence, skills and joyful little memories along the way.
