The highest accolade a learner at Danville Park Girl’s High School can achieve is the White Blazer award.  This is a special award, bestowed on a learner who has achieved an Honours award in two different areas. Today we have pleasure in honouring 2 young women who have achieved this.

Shreya Sukdeo (Grade 12)

The Trust for Sustainable Living Essay Competition is an international competition with submissions from around the world.  Shreya Sukdeo submitted an essay for the competition at the end of 2022 and was awarded Honourable mention for her submission, which put her in the top 33% internationally of all the submissions. Shreya was subsequently selected to represent South Africa at the online International Schools TSL debates in July.  For this, last year she was awarded Honours for Academic Extension. Today Shreya has been awarded Honours for Academics.  We would like to invite Mr & Mrs Sukdeo onto the stage, as well as Shreya, to receive her White Blazer.

Keniesha Govender (Grade 11)

Keniesha Govender received Honours on her selection for the South African Chess Team.  She too received Honours for Academics. We would like to invite Mr & Mrs Govender, as well as Keniesha, to receive her White Blazer.
