Curro Durbanville are incredibly proud of Farah Sonday from Grade 8E2, who showcased her talent and determination at the SANESA competitions this year, competing in equitation, dressage, and show jumping.

Farah represented Cape Metro at the regionals, held from 9-11 August 2024, and achieved the following:

  • Equitation: A Team
  • Show Jumping: A Team
  • Dressage: B Team

Her outstanding performance at regionals secured her a spot on the Western Cape provincial team for Nationals, which will take place in September 2024!

  • Farah will represent the province in the following:
  • Equitation: A Team (She took an impressive 2nd place in this prestigious event!)
  • Show Jumping: B Team

What makes Farah’s achievements even more remarkable is her journey of resilience. After breaking her shoulder in May due to a fall from her horse, she underwent surgery and was unable to ride for two months. Despite these challenges, Farah returned to the saddle and competed at regionals with incredible determination, even riding the very horse she had fallen from. Congratulations, Farah! We are in awe of your courage and dedication. We can’t wait to see you shine at Nationals!
