On Saturday 4 May, Crawford International La Lucia celebrated our 25-Year anniversary as a campus. It was a beautiful, sunny day to host our Crawford families as well as our La Lucia community, as we commemorated our wonderful milestone! It was heartwarming to witness families from the campus come together for this special day. Tummy’s were full, games were played, gifts were bought, mess was made; happy faces all around, music and laughing were all the sounds.

As part of the festive afternoon, we had a short ceremony where we looked back on the history of our prestigious school. When our school opened in January 1999, it was an area full of red sand and sugarcane – with no trees in sight. The student body was small and so was the staff compliment. But they were excited for this new era that they were ushering in. To look at the 3x phase school on one beautiful campus, with 2x conservancies and the best ocean view – we have come a long way in structures and buildings. But we have also grown as a student, parent, and staff body – working together to make Crawford International La Lucia the top private co-ed school in KZN.

A special part of this ceremony was to also acknowledge the incredible staff who have been with our school since inception – 25 Years of being a part of this staff compliment and pouring into the foundations of our amazing school. A big thank you to each and every one of these 10x staff (2x not featured in this photo collection) for the indelible mark that they have left on our school community. And of course, what occasion is complete without an official cake cutting?Thank you to all who shared this day with us!
