Cannons Creek Independent School hosted its annual Fun Run event on Thursday 27 February 2025, fielding over 580 runners, spanning across its 2km / 4km / 8km events which were run along the adjacent Canal. “Congratulations and well done to all the runners for taking part and a big thank you to the school’s Sports Department, parents, staff, sponsors and all who came, ran, walked, volunteered, and in any way, supported the amazing event! This event could not have been successful without each person’s part in it. The whole school was filled with such excitement and happy, joyful faces!” – Ms Lucy Twani, Head of Sport.  Some comments:

• “My five-year old still thinks he won the race even though he just came in somewhere in the middle, but Mrs Wahl [Primary School Principal] and other teachers welcomed everyone to the finish line by name making everyone feel like a winner just for being there.
