An amazing eight-day SACS music tour to Munich and Austria has come to an end, with our 63 SACS musicians and four music staff safely back in Cape Town. And what a memorable tour it was! A week of sightseeing, exploring magnificent countryside, new cultural experiences, sampling different cuisines, visiting castles, a salt mine and a thermal water park, a cable car ride up to an ice palace, Go-Karting and attending various music festivals. And of course, performing in music performances and collaborating with other bands in the most amazing venues.
The highlight of the tour was taking part in the Mid Europe Music Festival. Huge congratulations to the Concert Band and the Vocal Ensemble for bringing life and energy to the closing performance. Congratulations to the SACS Concert Band who received 81% for their adjudicated performance. Such a proud moment and a well-deserved achievement and accolade.
