Volksrust High School’s Student Christian Movement, IGNITE, held its first worship service on Thursday, the 15th of August, in the school hall. Hosted by Miss Senzy Khumalo, the service was a glorious feast of Word and Worship. The featured student leaders who shared the Word were Lwazi Zulu (founder), Phanaso Msibi, Lwethu Sangweni, Minenhle Sibiya, and Amahle Mbatha. This was a gathering of learners and teachers with hearts yearning to fill the school with an aroma of worship and to connect with God on a deeper level.

The service also featured Mr Sipho Khumalo who’s piano skills underlined the worship music. A buffet of scripture was shared by the student leaders, punctuated by immersive moments of heartfelt prayer. It was a time to recharge, refocus, and remember God’s love together. As everyone left the school hall, smiles and hugs were abundant. The worship service was a testament to the joy and support that comes from sharing faith and the love of God with one another.
