VHS welcomes me. Magudulela as a student teacher. I am Nicole Magudulela, an old Volksrust High School learner, who matriculated in 2015. I am very ambitious, courageous, well balanced and I love learning new things. For the past 5 years I worked at a Local Law Firm as Legal Secretary and during this time I also studied for my Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) through Unisa.

I however had a change of heart regarding my Degree when I started tutoring Primary School learners Afrikaans First Additional Language and this rekindled my love for all things teaching. During my school years I participated in both hockey and cheerleading teams, which led me to complete coaching and umpiring courses in Netball. I always do something that I am “a little not ready to do”. I think that’s how I grow. Volkies welcomes Ms Magudulela as a student teacher and wishes her all the best with her studies.

VHS welcomes student teacher, Mr David le Roux

My name is David le Roux and I matriculated from Vaalpark Articon in 2016.  I love reading and writing poetry in my spare time and would someday like to have some of my work published. I worked in retail services for three years before joining the staff at High School Volksrust as an assistant in the copy room and bookstore. And so, the seed was planted. I developed a passion for teaching while working with the teachers at Volksrust High School, especially since I started working with a scribe student whom I tutored in my spare time.

I am further also joining the teaching staff as a student teacher studying through UNISA. I intend to study towards a degree revolving around Geography and English which are both subjects that I love. Welcome Mr le Roux and we wish you all the best for your studies.
