The Settlers High School held their first blood donation clinic for the year on Tuesday 25 February in the Webster auditorium. There were over 90 learners that signed up for the clinic and were very optimistic that we would reach our target of 60 units. We were very happy to welcome many new Grade 10 donors. Of the 76 learners and staff that attended 41 existing donors and 24 new donors were able to donate which resulted in us collecting 65 units of blood. If each unit can save 3 lives, we were able to make a difference to 195 people.
