Reddford House Blue Hills achieves 100% pass rate and 49 distinctions. The Midrand-based Reddford House school – Reddford House Blue Hills – which is part of the Inspired Education Group, proudly congratulates their Class of 2022 on achieving a 100% pass rate and 49 distinctions in the demanding International Examinations Board (IEB) national senior certificate exams. This is an average of 1.14 distinctions per student and 40 Bachelor passes.

Of particular note are 13 students who achieved A and B aggregates, with one student, Shreya Balipursad, achieving six distinctions and three achieving four distinctions, namely Trisun Naidoo, Harshil Vallabh and Buhle Mncube. Shreya also achieved the significant recognition of being listed in the top 1% and top 5% of IEB candidates per subject nationally. Chloe Pillay was also among the Top 5% for two subjects.

Shreya Balipursad shared her matric experience, saying, “The matric experience was not an easy one. It was a journey that consisted of many difficulties, and many responsibilities. However, these difficulties are what made the year valuable to me. With each difficulty, I learned a lesson, and was able to gain knowledge about myself, and the material I had to learn. Prior to prelims, I had to learn to develop a good work ethic, and time management. I have applied to study Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, and a BSc in Geology. My plans are to study Mining Engineering, and hopefully work in a job related to the field. I also plan to enrich myself in various ways, as I move forward.”

Cathy George, Head of College at Reddford House Blue Hills, is proud of this year’s matrics. She says, “Each year, our matrics set out to do themselves proud in their final exams. The class of 2022 is no different. I am humbled and extremely proud of their collective achievements. Furthermore, we are delighted that our students are achieving consistent matric results since our first matric group of 2019, with a 100% pass rate each year. Through hard work and determination, our students have each achieved something remarkable. As the Reddford family we share in the celebration of the effort made by all of our teachers and students as they persevere to grow into the best versions of themselves.”

Dr Ronel Burger, Managing Director of Reddford House, commended the Class of 2022 for overcoming the negative influence that Covid had on their group specifically. She recognised the students, not only for their academic results but for the enthusiastic, dynamic yet humble young people that they have become. “I know that they are ready to face any challenges that life may bring.”
