The Class of 2022 have received their National Senior Certificate results and now embark on new adventures. We are 100% proud of our 100% pass rate. All 149 Collegiate candidates who wrote the examinations have qualified to continue their studies at a tertiary level, 94.6% for degree courses and 5,4% for diploma courses.  We celebrate the hard work of each member of the Class of 2022 who demonstrated a good work ethic and have reaped their reward. In addition to impressive NSC results, Collegiate had a number of learners enrolled for the IEB Further Studies Mathematics and English programmes. Special congratulations to Robyn Hechter who was invited to the Provincial Top Achievers Award Ceremony where she was announced as the top Nelson Mandela Bay student.  She is the worthy recipient of the Eastern Cape’s Premier’s Scholarship to attend any university in the country.

This remarkable set of results is astounding, but what is of special significance is the character of this young lady.  Robyn did not only excel academically, she also reached out to others so that her peers could achieve academically.  She formed a Studying Sisterhood organisation where she co-ordinated tutors who helped learners from Grade 8 to 11 who were struggling with a particular subject or with time management and studying methods.  Robyn was also enthusiastic about tutoring and mentoring others, and was willing to sacrifice her own study time to help others.  The calibre of this selfless and humble young lady is truly inspirational. She is a worthy recipient of these impressive marks.  We are proud of her and congratulate her on her efforts.  Robyn has said that she is grateful to her wonderful parents, grandparents, brother, teachers  and support system.  Her favourite quote is, “Dreams don’t work unless you do.”
