Balderstone Sports Institute Premier Division Cycle 1 72-hole Championship

Congratulations to Jacques van der Merwe on his emphatic victory in our Cycle 1 72-hole Championship played on Royal Johannesburg & Kensington East & West courses. Jacques took the lead from the 1^st round and was difficult to catch as he posted scores of 69, 69, 76 & 68 to finish -6, 9 shots clear of 2^nd place.  This is Jacques’ second BSI 4-day competition victory and elevates his wins this year alone to six tournaments. This win also takes Jacques 39 068 points clear of his nearest competitor in the our Premier Order of Merit, with 64 676 points. Cobra/Puma CGGU Ladies Championship 2023 – Royal Johannesburg & Kensington GC – Silver & Bronze Division Huge Congratulations to Stacey-Lee van Gent on her win in both the Gross and Nett ‘B’ divisions in the Cobra/Puma CGGU Ladies Championship 2023 played at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington GC. Yaone Mokgatle finished 5^th place the Gross ‘B’ division and T3 in the Nett ‘B’ division of the same Ladies section Stacey-Lee & Yaone also finished 1^st & 2^nd respectively in the Junior Ladies ‘B’ division.

SA Kids Golf – Randpark Golf Club Bushwillow. Congratulations to Maru Chokwe on her 1^st place finish and to her sister Loapi Chokwe who came in 2^nd in the SA Kids Golf Girls 15-18 Division played at Randpark GC Bushwillow. Well done also to Bryce Mogridge who came in 6^th place in the Boys 15 – 18 Division.
