Another new leadership appointment at Curro Durbanville High School

Curro Holdings is delighted to announce the appointment of Jaco Olivier as the new head of Curro Durbanville High School, effective 1 July 2022. Mr. Olivier has been part of the JSE-listed independent school group for some time now and is well-versed in the values and levels of excellence that Curro offers. During the last five years, he has been the academic head of Curro Durbanville, and most recently assisted with an ambitious project to expand the school’s original grounds, resulting in the opening of a brand new 9 800 sq², contemporary campus in Groot Phesantekraal in January 2022. Prior to that, he was the executive head of Curro Mossel Bay for over two years.

Local to Cape Town, Mr Olivier holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Life Management and Biological Human Sciences – Biochemistry from the University of Stellenbosch. Well known, and well liked amongst learners and parents alike, he is most looking forward to continuing to develop structures and implement plans to allow for ongoing growth at this flagship school. Commenting on the new appointments, Shaun McMurtry, Business Executive at Curro Holdings said “This is an incredibly exciting time for Curro Durbanville, and we congratulate Mr. Olivier on his well-positioned appointment. Jaco’s commitment to the success of the learners and community of Curro Durbanville has been exemplary and we believe it will continue to be so in this critical management role. His performance within every role he has held at our schools has reinforced our belief that he will make a solid and lasting contribution to Curro Durbanville. We wish him every success in his new role and look forward to seeing our learners and school grow under his guidance.”
