St Benedict School in Pinetown held their Intermediate Phase Awards ceremony in the last week of School. Khwezi Mazibuko was awarded the trophy for Dux for 2025. He also won subject prizes for English, Mathematics, Economic Management Sciences, Technology, Life Orientation, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences.

Elenda Nzuza won the Proxime Accessit trophy as the runner-up to Dux, as well as subject prizes for Afrikaans and Arts and Culture. The Good Fellowship Award was awarded to Siyabonga Ngcobo – this award is given to a person who is involved in all aspects of school life, is enthusiastic, dependable, confident and well-mannered. Siyabonga also received The Glory of God Award which is given to a student who has a sound knowledge of Religious Education and who contributes positively to the ethos of the school.

The Principal’s Award is given to a student who strives to emulate the values and ethos of St Benedict School in their daily interactions. This year the award went to Nosipho Manzini, who also received the award for Sportswoman of the Year. Sportsman of the Year went to Awande Xolo. We are very proud of each and every one of our pupils for the effort that they have put in this year.
