We are incredibly proud to celebrate Mrs Debbie Smeda, who completed the grueling 8-𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 at the Midmar Mile this past Friday! Mrs Smeda is a grade 3 teacher at Curro Salt Rock Primary school.

This challenge is no small feat — 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙨𝙬𝙞𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙙𝙢𝙖𝙧 𝘿𝙖𝙢 8 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙬𝙤 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨, covering nearly 13 km of open water. More than just a physical achievement, it’s also about raising funds for worthy causes, with swimmers supporting initiatives such as cancer awareness and conservation efforts.

This is an incredible feat  – 2024 was Debbie’s first Midmar mile and only a year later she tacked the 8 mile!
