New Orleans Secondary School were proudly represented at the first District NSC awards for Schools

On the 19th of February we were invited to attend the very first District NSC awards for Schools. “I was honoured to accept this for the staff of New Orleans Secondary School where we received the most awards for excellence and best achievement in Quantile 3 schools in the district in the following subjects:
Mathematical Literacy
History
Geography
Accounting
Economics
Consumer Studies.
This is evident that this school has some of the Best teachers in the district – even in the country. Let’s celebrate this as we always have to celebrate every step, however small. The learner, Thembinkosi James was selected as one of three in the whole district who has excelled regardless of challenging circumstances. He received a laptop – which he will need as he is an enrolled student at Stellenbosch University for B.Sc in Mathematical Science. Congratulations to the recipients, but to the whole staff because the result in Grade 12 is a collective effort of all the departments as from Grade 8. @“NOSSorNOTHING!
