Curro Thatchfield High School’s matric valediction service took place on Friday, 14 October 2022. Executive Head, Mr Danie van Schalkwyk, awarded learners for outstanding achievements in each subject with stand-out learners Tiisetso Matlala (first overall with an average of 90% across all her subjects) and Nyasha Ziki (best achievement in four subjects: Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Information Technology) walking away with most of the trophies.

The Class of 2022 then rang the ceremonial bell for the last time at the Madiba Square. The purpose of a matric valediction is to recognise the successful completion of a high school career. The ringing of the bell symbolises the last time a matric learner will hear a bell in his/her school career. We wish the Curro Thatchfield Class of 2022 all the very best for a bright future!
