The 2022 school year has got off to a fantastic start at New Hanover Prep. It is certainly going to be a busy and exciting one. With over 160 years of history and heritage, there are many long-standing traditions at our school. One such tradition is starting the school year off with an inspiring church service. The service included a welcoming blessing for all new pupils and staff at the altar, after which they rang the school bell outside of the church to signify the start of their NHP school career.

Another special tradition at our school is that each Grade One pupil receives a “Zuckertüte” on their first day of “Big School”. This age-old German tradition is given to children to make this anxiously awaited first day of school a little sweeter.
