On Sunday 21 May, Summerwood Primary School hosted their SUNDAY JAZZ music concert at the PE St George’s Club. Although the weather was cold and wet outside, the lively music and elegant setting warmed the hearts of everyone who attended. The Summerwood Primary Jazz band and the Grey Primary Jazz band each performed 3 classical jazz pieces. It was wonderful to hear the tunes that the young flute, clarinet, trumpet and saxophone players are able to produce. The school bands were followed by a local trio, Tastee Jamzz, who performed several jukebox style jazz hits, and soon everyone was tapping a beat and humming along to the familiar songs. Well done to Summerwood Primary music department for organizing a lovely afternoon of musical entertainment. K Haschick
