St Dominics Newcastle honours award recipients

The annual St Dominics Newcastle Dedication Service took place on January 23, with the Grade 7 to Grade 12 learners dedicating themselves. Mr Dustin Fergusson blessed guests with his presence and a wonderful message. Each of the 2023 Matric learners received their tie, badge and jersey.

At the ceremony:

  • – Zayna Bam delivered an excellent motivational speech to the student body
  • – Dia Singh received her 9th Honours re-award
  • – Mvelo Mashinini received his 3rd Honours re-award
  • – Okuhlekonke Mncwabe was announced as the Dux student of 2022.

“As Lindsey Eryn said: ‘You belong here. You are strong, you are here on purpose, for a purpose. So, do your best. Lean into wisdom and take with you wise counsel and be courageous.’ We are very proud of these achievements!” – Ms Needha Hurrichand: Operational Head of High School.

Learners from Grade 7 to Grade 12 participated in the service.

– Mr Chad Moses hands over the Dux award to Okuhlekonke Mncwabe.

Mvelo Mashinini, Head Boy for 2023, accepts his 3rd Honours re-award from Executive Head, Mr Chad Moses.
