In the second term we celebrate both Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day. In recognition of this, St Benedict School in Pinetown hosted a Foundation Phase Family Picnic and invited moms, dads and other caregivers to spend the morning at the school with their precious little people. The morning started off with a series of fun activities which the parents and children had to complete together, including puzzle making, playdough, storytime, drawing, construction and an outdoor maze. Once all the tasks had been completed, the families then picnicked together in the school gardens. The focus of the morning was on taking time out from our busy lives and spending quality time with the people who matter most.
