Wynberg Boys’ High School and EDGE Learning Media collaborating towards an entrepreneurial future
As part of Wynberg Boys’ commitment to preparing their learners for the future, they were proud to be the launch partners of EDGE Learning Media Schools Entrepreneurial Program (SEP). The SEP program sees learners participate in entrepreneurial studies as part of a fixed curriculum. “We believe that providing great educational opportunities is the bedrock for the success of our country. Importantly we know that we are going to need entrepreneurs to achieve this success and it is to this end that we are delighted to have the program as part of our learner’s experience” says Mr Jan de Waal, Principal of Wynberg Boys’ High School.
EDGE chose a blended approach, combining online learning with engagement in the classroom. The learning design is based on a collaborative constructive pedagogy or learning methodology, to build meaning – personally and then to confirm that meaning collaboratively. It will ensure that the learners are exposed to real-life scenarios and opportunities to engage an entrepreneurial spirit.
Learners who complete the programme will receive a certificate of completion.
Wynberg Boys’ will continue to partner with EDGE on the development and enhancement of the program, ultimately supporting their joint visions of delivering economically and socially active people into the South African economy.
