SPARK Schools donates 100 space cases to keep their #100Boxes initiative alive
Every year, the network of 18 SPARK Schools participates in #100Boxes, a charity drive launched by SPARK Schools in 2018 for Mandela Day with the aim to fill 100 large boxes with items we often take for granted. This year, due to the country going back to level 3 lockdown, school closures, and the world at large still living 2021 under unprecedented times, SPARK Schools decided to continue with its #100Boxes charity initiative beyond Mandela Day Hearts of Hope and Impact Africa are the two charity organizations identified as this year’s recipients of donations of stationery items.
“One of our core values at SPARK Schools is ‘Service’ and we encourage our SPARK scholars to be active citizens in their classrooms, communities and country. They dedicate time and effort to serving those in need and approach challenges with a team mindset’’, said Bailey Thomson Blake Chief of Schools at SPARK Schools. Thousands of South African youth have the opportunity to create positive change while being afforded the opportunity to access high-quality affordable education.
“With education being a vital key to uplifting communities from poverty, we at SPARK Schools believe that our initiative of donating 100 space cases filled with stationery to these two deserving organisations will go some way in making a positive change,” concludes Thomson Blake.
