St Benedict School show appreciation for frontline workers
It has been a long 18 months since COVID arrived on the scene and changed our lives, but particularly so for all the frontline workers in our community. The Grade 2 learners at St Benedict School decided to acknowledge the people who have helped to carry our country through this pandemic and have continued to do their daily work, often unthanked.
The learners all came to school dressed as community helpers and then spent the morning making personalised care packages for the staff working on the COVID ward at Crompton Hospital. These packages included some teatime treats ( because they deserve a break) as well as some hand lotion for their over-worked helping hands.
