Enjoy the moment, not the picture.
The morning mist enshrouds me, as I pull my cape tightly around my body. Thankfully, only the tall, wise trees bear witness to my embarrassment. Anyone else would be laughing their heads off!
Feeling all kinds of brave, I mount my horse, Dumpling, for an early morning ride, sure that I would get some really insta-worthy pictures.
Dumpling and I trotted along peacefully. Feeling inspired by the surrounding beauty, I dismounted and looked for the best angle and lighting. Just as I found the perfect shot, I heard a squish, a smudge and… yuck!
My boots were in a pile of Dumpling’s Doo-Do!
The horse was oblivious. I was mortified, but I could hear a trickle of a stream nearby. With all my attention on my riding boots, Dumpling disappeared! I trudged along and followed the water back home, where I am sure Dumpling has settled back into her stable, living her best life!
