Empangeni High School addressed in an all boys assembly
Yesterday the 14th August all our young male learners were addressed in assembly by retired Circuit Manager, Dr V Sikhosana as well as Ex Empangeni High School Learner Richard Pretorius.
Dr V Sikhosana imparted words of wisdom to our learners. Emphasising the importance of a quality education and pointing out that the greatest pain is not being able to provide for one’s family! “Change the way you think, and things will never be the same!” Dr Sikhosana went on to remind the learners of the importance of respecting oneself and especially those around them!
Richard Pretorius shared his 10 month experience in the USA on the YES Exchange programme. Stating that the biggest lesson was self-growth. Being put in situations that are totally out of one’s comfort zone, cultural differences, being the decision maker. Just as pressure on rocks form diamonds going abroad brings a new stronger self!
