The Wykeham Collegiate bringing Language to Life The Wykeham Collegiate Grade 3 pupils have been immersing themselves in this month’s Zulu theme: *“Isilwane Sami”* (My Pet). Last week, the classroom was filled with wagging tails, happy faces, and enthusiastic voices as the girls presented their orals on *“inja yami”* (my dog) — with some furry friends making a special appearance!

The room buzzed with excitement as each student introduced their pet in isiZulu, proudly sharing what they’ve been learning in a practical, hands-on way. This interactive approach not only expanded their vocabulary but also helped build confidence in using Zulu in a fun and memorable setting.
