Glenashley Prep Green Team outing to Beachwood Mangroves
Nestled alongside the Umgeni River, the Beachwood Mangroves was a treasure trove of discovery for the Green Team learners of Glenashley Preparatory School on their recent visit. They explored the mangroves on elevated boardwalks, after a welcome talk at the education centre. The learners enjoyed a guided walk with KZN Wildlife Honorary Officers through various trails, where they learnt about the trees, crabs, whelks, birds and other fauna and flora of this special biome. The School extended their thanks to the Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife Honorary Offices for their informative tour.
