KES athletes bring home great results from NWU Top 30 Meeting
On 19 and 20 October, King Edward VII School participated in the Northwest University Potchefstroom Campus annual NWU Schools Top 30 Athletics meeting.
This Athletics meeting is the biggest schools athletics competition in South Africa where 2261 athletes competed in 2017.
In the Boys section alone there where 59 schools represented. King Edward VII School came 9th overall in the A section. In the A section, there were 23 teams, B section 27 teams and C section 9 teams. This was just in the all-boys section.
In the A section there are certain criteria that we had to meet and adhere to in order to compete listed below:
Each school or team had to enter 23 athletes. 23 boys and/or 23 girls.
The team had to collectively compete in 30 items/events.
