Trinity House musicians use talents for Choc
Courtney Barnes, Dineo Josipovic and Shannie Wong started raising donations for the Children’s Hematology Oncology Clinic, CHOC, in 2018. They came together with the CHOC Clinic to perform as a musical trio at events, in order to raise donations.
Monies raised were initially split four ways: going towards CHOC and the three girls contributions to the Debs & Squires Trinityhouse Scholarship.
This year the girls are continuing to play their violins and cello; raising money exclusively for CHOC. They wear cow suits in honour of CHOC’s theme and mascot, and play their instruments with pride any chance they are offered, in order to assist the clinic. They performed last weekend, 6 April, at the Summerfields Shopping Center and raised a total of R5370. We are so proud of these Trinityhouse High School pupils’ initiative.
