Christ Church Prep and College Outreach Valentine’s Day Drive
On Monday, 14 February, the school was a cascade of colours – pink, red, white and black – as pupils dressed up in civvies. A donation of R5 or more was requested in order to wear civvies. During the various breaks, the Outreach team was hard at work, selling many goodies and delivering these goods. These included lapel ribbons, roses, chocolates, mugs and balloons. A photography booth was also available. During second break, pupils enjoyed dancing and singing.
All proceeds from the day will be donated to CHOC. CHOC (Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa) is a non-profit organisation which supports young children and teenagers (and their families) who have been diagnosed with cancer and other life threatening diseases. They do a wonderful job of assisting these families both emotionally and physically. It is for this reason that the school decided to show our appreciation for all that they do for others. Well done to our Outreach team on a successful day, you show true Christ-likeness.
