As an institution of learning, we at The King’s School West Rand, are dedicated to providing a holistic education – we want our students to learn how to flourish in the world. This means that the education we offer promotes student development in the academic, physical, spiritual, emotional and social spheres. We are not satisfied to adopt the empty vessel theory of learning that assumes children’s minds must just be crammed with more and more information at school In today’s digital age, knowing that children have all the information they need on their device, we need to teach them how to think, how to weigh information to produce wisdom.

We don’t want children just to be informed, we want them to be transformed. Our school has produced a set of Expected Student Outcomes that define the goals we hope to achieve in our education programme. They are divided into 4 categories of holistic education – academic, skills, spiritual formation and biblical worldview. Please pray for us as a school as well as for your child that God will grant us success.
