On Thursday, 7th April 2022, Marist Brothers Linmeyer Primary School hosted the second annual DEAR Day. DEAR Day highlights literacy and promotes love of reading. On this exciting day, Grade PR – 7 students and teachers drop everything and focus on reading while dressed up in their favourite book characters. They also enjoyed literature shows presented by Wiggle Woggle for Pre-School and Hooked on Books for Primary School.

This year was extra special, the school’s own member of staff, Mr Victor Kumalo (a published author of three books) speaking to Grade 6 and 7 students about writing. There was another special guest, Tarryn Botha (actress) who held a workshop on dramatisation.
