St Andrew’s School for Girls, Saturday School gives back on Mandela Day
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” – Nelson Mandela.
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a symbol of hope, reconciliation and a passionate believer in the power of education to encourage, enlighten and create change.
St Andrew’s Saturday School, uBambiswano, shares that passion and believes that education is more than numeracy and literacy. They believe that education can shape a person’s life and have a far-reaching impact on families and communities. Education gives people and communities hope. It is with this spirit that they planned their Mandela Day celebrations. They collected books, which they have donated to their partner schools.
