Cricket Scoring Achievement for Edenglen High learner
Jemma Ibbetson, a grade 11 learner at Edenglen High School started cricket scoring, as she wanted to get involved in school activities and learn about cricket as a sport.
Jemma decided to do the level D cricket scoring courses she wanted to better her knowledge and qualifications for the game. The course was spread over three consecutive Saturdays, teaching the theory on the first and second Saturday and then writing of the exam on the third Saturday. The pass mark was 80%, but Jemma received 96% for the exam, which made her feel very proud. She decided she wanted to move on level C.
Jemma will continue to score for her school and hopes to further her qualification next year. Jemma says she has come to enjoy the game and it is a possibility for her to score on an international level.
