Parktown High School for Girls host 1st successful Fun Run
Parktown High School for Girls hosted their first ever 5km Fun Run in an effort to raise funds for sport at the school. On Saturday, 14 September, started setting up very early at 05:00 to ensure everything ran smoothly. It was a wonderfully festive morning with perfect weather. They had about 250 participants, some chose to walk and some decided to push themselves and run the event. Congratulations to the top 20 woman and men who received medals and special mention to the following runners for setting the first Parktown 5km Fun Run records. Many families enjoyed the day taking the walk slowly and taking in the sights and sounds of the zoo.
TOP 5 RUNNERS:
Congratulations to Miss White who was the first Parktown Teacher to cross the finish line, Mr Adrian Steven was the first Parktown parent over the line and Leya Parkin was the first Parktown learner. Congratulations to these winners who received goodie bags after the race.
