Parktown Boys’ High attends anti-gender based violence campaign at Parktown Girls’ High
A group of grade 11 boys from Parktown Boys’ High School attended an assembly at Parktown High School for Girls on Friday 13 September to pledge their support for the Anti Gender-based Violence campaign. They were accompanied by Mr Williams, the Headmaster, and one of his Deputy Headmasters, Mr Stippel. Representatives from the group, including the Head Boy, spoke to the assembly, after which the entire group of boys solemnly pledged their support in unison for the campaign. They also displayed a banner which details their commitment to the cause.
Parktown Girls’ are very grateful for the support of the boys’ school during this time; gender-based violence is a scourge in our society. Without the support of men who rise up against it, women will continue to suffer.
Parktown Girls’ would like to thank Mr Williams and Mr Stippel for taking time out of their schedules to show their commitment and further would like to thank the boys for taking the initiative to support the fight against violence targeting women.
