Old Girls Lunch 2019 at Parktown High School for Girls
A beautiful spring day with blue skies and bright sunshine was a wonderful way to host this year’s annual Old Girls’ Lunch on 31 August 2019. Our Alumnae were welcomed by the schools’ Marimba Band and the Band was later joined by Alumnae from the Class of 2009 for a couple of songs. Once all were settled and the welcome was done the group was treated to a performance by the Traditional Choir.
This year’s oldest attendee was once again Dilys Cooper née John (class of 1939), who celebrated her 80th reunion. Other attendees included those from the Class of 1948 to some from the Class of 2018, former staff members and two former Headmistresses, Mrs Pam Quin and Dr Anthea Cereseto.
This year saw international attendees from America, France, UK, Australia and Greece.
A special mention goes out to the Class of 1959 who managed to get a group of 13 together to celebrate their special 60th reunion. Big numbers from the VERY boisterous reunion years of 1979, 1999 and 2009 gave the lunch a fun and enjoyable vibe.
