Written by: Jordan Wrights: ๐๐๐๐ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ค๐ง๐ฉ ๐๐ง๐๐๐๐๐ฉ: Wow, it is sad to think that summer sports for term 1 have already come to an end. However, it truly couldnโt have ended on a higher note – ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ฐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฒ! It was absolutely awesome to see all our summer sports teams come together and compete in an environment filled with “gees” which ensured we ended off the season on a high! Thank you to all the Elkanah House students that came to support and we hope to can carry this over into our winter season! Overall, reflecting back on the season, we had many special moments as a school and I truly cannot wait to see what is in store for our sports for the rest of 2023. I hope everyone has a restful holiday and is as motivated and excited as I am for the upcoming winter season!

The students of Elkanah came together as one to get behind the water polo teams, who were set to face off against Paarl Boys. All was set with War cries going from the morning all through the day until the final match between the two 1st Teams. The student section was on fire throughout the game as the blue wall jumped up and down. Which boosted our team to the WIN of the year. Never have I ever seen GEES like that.
The Elkanah House u9s took part in a Cricket Night Festival at Rallim Prep. The team played three games and won all three! A fantastic time was had by the players, parents and coaches! We look forward to many more fun nights under the lights. Congratulations U9s!

We were sent to field first as they wanted to set a total for us to chase. We pulled together and bowled them out for a total of 127 runs. We required 128 runs to win the game. The batting did not start as we wanted with our opening 3 batsman falling early but our middle order pulled together and scored majority of the runs in our chase. It came down to the final over of the match with a boundary shot to win the game.
