Meet Union High School’s Head Girl: Kendall Krige
Congratulations on being selected as a leader at your school. What are you looking forward to the most during your term as a leader? Being able to bring back the school spirit that was lost during the Covid-19 pandemic.
What are your strengths and weaknesses? My strengths are my determination and ambition to succeed. I am always willing to learn, and I consider myself to be very fair. My weaknesses are that I doubt myself too often and take things too seriously.
Is there anything you would like to change at your school? I would like to bring in more social activities and change the orientation program for the Grade 8s.
What do you love the most about your school? I love the sense of community that comes from being a school in a small close-knit Karoo town and the support you get from staff as well as the learner body.
Matric is your final year, from an academic point of view, what are you aiming for? I am aiming to achieve 5 As by the end of my Grade 12 year.
What will your message of encouragement be for your prefects/co-leaders? To work hard and stay true to what you believe in and to remember to be able to laugh.
Who is your role model? My father.
If you could be any superhero, who do you want to be and why? I would be Wonder Woman. I would want to be her because she is strong and powerful. She also fights for what she believes in.
On a regular Saturday, you will find me at home or at the hostel with my friends and my family.
Who is your Hollywood celeb crush? Dylan O’Brien and Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
