Reddam House Bedfordview’s debating programme is continuing its strong run of results, with both junior and senior teams heading into championship rounds after impressive regional performances. The school’s junior team, the Reddam Royals, completed six SACEE regional debates without a loss and progressed into the championship rounds unbeaten.
“This undefeated run is a massive achievement for our team,” says captain Logan Solomon. “We hope it inspires more students to appreciate debate with us in the future.”
The senior team, Reddam Gold, has also enjoyed a successful campaign, winning five of its six regional rounds to top the Eastern Region standings. “After long hours of preparation to uphold the Reddam name, we are proud to have built a strong dynamic and to be heading into the championship rounds with real momentum,” says captain Eden van Wyngaardt.
Both teams will now compete in the SACEE Championship Rounds with hopes of progressing further into provincial competition. Stephen Hazley, Executive Head of Reddam House Bedfordview, says, “Debating encourages students to think critically, communicate confidently and engage thoughtfully with the world around them. It is rewarding to see our students embracing these opportunities and achieving success at both regional and international level.”
