Paul Roos Gymnasium athletes shine at 2022 Boland Championships

PRG Athletes collected a total of 22 medals at the recent Boland Athletics Championships held at Dal Josaphat from Thursday 24 to Saturday 26 February 2022.

Gold medals:

  • Mark Lester – Boys 14 1500m
  • Zak Hickman – Boys 15 Hammerthrow and Shotput
  • Divan Lamprechts – Boys 15 100m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles
  • Harrison Gibson – Boys 15 High Jump
  • Joshua Acker – Boys 17 Shotput and Discus
  • Jonathan Essien – Boys 17 400m
  • Handre Nel – Boys 17 Polevault
  • John-Oliver Klynsmith – Boys 19 Shotput
  • Wimpie Dornbrack – Boys 19 Polevault

Silver medals:

  • Jaython Wyngaard – Boys 19 400m Hurdles
  • Musahdiq Cornelson – Boys 15 Long Jump
  • Reuben van der Merwe – Boys 15 Javelin
  • Dehan Frylinck – – Boys 19 Polevault

Bronze medals:

  • Jeandre Cilliers – Boys 14 Polevault
  • Reinhardt Nel – Boys 15 Javelin
  • Christopher Steyn – Boys 15 3000m
  • Luke van der Merwe – Boys 17 High Jump
  • Storm Topley – Boys 19 High Jump
  • Elisha Miller – Boys 17 400m

Lupho Makhiliso, Gert Kemp, AJ Krynauw, Barthelemie Bena-Ntumba, Jurenzo Julius, Etienne Potgieter, Myburgh Louw, Norman Cilliers, Marco Odendaal, Marcus Viljoen, Thomas Coetzee, Elias de Waal, Franco Lotter, Junaid Coetzee, Nathan Sander, Mika Barnes, Ethan Swart and Ben Gerber also took part at the Boland Championships.
